How this is built

The map and the routes

The corridor map is drawn on a light street base (CARTO Positron) with MapLibre GL. Driving routes are real geometry from the OSRM router — the actual Grand Central Parkway, RFK Bridge and Queens–Midtown Tunnel paths — simplified for the web. The bus and rail lines (the Q70, the M60, the 7 and the LIRR Port Washington branch) are plotted from their real stop coordinates. Nothing on the map is schematic invention.

The type

Headlines are set in Archivo, body text in Public Sans, and every fare, time and route bullet in Geist Mono — a signage-and-timetable pairing chosen to read like a transit board.

Syndication

The site publishes a sitemap and nothing else — no RSS or JSON feed, by design. We welcome AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) and maintain an llms.txt so language models can cite the corridor accurately.
