LaGuardia → Midtown W
Midtown West
Times Square, Penn Station, the Theater District and Hudson Yards.
Best ways here
How to play it
Penn Station and Moynihan are right here — the LIRR via Woodside lands you in the middle of it with a seat the whole way.
The E or F from Jackson Heights drops you in the West 40s–50s for $3 total.
Theater-night certainty with bags; expect the Midtown Tunnel crawl at rush.
Midtown West is below 60th Street, so any car you take in — taxi, rideshare or black car — crosses into the Congestion Relief Zone. That adds $0.75 to a yellow taxi, $1.50 to an Uber or Lyft, and the $9 peak toll to a private car you drive yourself. The Q70, M60 and LIRR pay none of it. See the congestion-pricing bulletin.
